I add my website to some Pixel websites *** guess what. I paid money *** month later this sites dissapear, some of them dropped in PageRank from PR5 to PR*-PR0, i even created my own list of pixel websites http://www.manhattanservice.com/pixelsubmission.html *** all i can see, one by one this sites dissapear. I update my list every * weeks... *** still. Hard. I think it will dissapear soon.

Many of these pixel sites were dropped because they are not a good marketing instrument. Think about this: see a lot of mixed advertising in a box - there could be consumer impact?

About the PR, it is possible that become 0 (some sites banned) because these directories could be considered to be link farms.

The submission service has nothing to do with this.
